What we do

Pipelines that hold under pressure.

Safad designs, finances, staffs and operates humanitarian supply chains in fragile and conflict-affected settings. The team has run pipelines across closed borders, through damaged infrastructure, and under active conflict, with sourcing and consolidation hubs in Jordan and Egypt and direct counterparting with the United Nations system.

Our logistics work covers food commodities, ration repacking, kitting, last-mile distribution into camps, urban centres and remote field sites, and full coordination with United Nations agencies, host-country authorities and humanitarian partners on access, security and reporting. The same operating discipline applies whether the assignment is a one-off emergency surge or a multi-year framework.

Reference points

Where we have done this.

Documented contracts and operating engagements that demonstrate Safad's humanitarian-logistics capability at scale.

WFP Gaza Emergency Response

USD 25.54 million in food commodities (15,357.937 metric tons of wheat flour, ready-to-eat rations, tuna, beans, sugar, yeast and related items) sourced and consolidated in Egypt and Jordan and moved into Gaza through the Arish–Rafah corridor under the World Food Programme's regional emergency response after October 2023.

WFP Syria response

Multi-year food-commodity pipelines into the Syria response since 2011–2012, including cereals, pulses, oils, canned foods and ready-to-eat parcels for refugee and host communities.

Multi-country footprint

Active humanitarian logistics operations across Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, South Sudan and Gaza — with sourcing and consolidation hubs configured to serve the wider region.

UN-grade documentation

Every pipeline is supported by sourcing records, quality-control documentation, transport and customs paperwork, distribution manifests and after-action reports — suitable for UN procurement audit and donor reporting.

How we engage

From corridor to contract.

Engagements typically begin with a scoping conversation to define the corridor, the commodity, the volume, the timeline and the destination. Safad then prepares a delivery plan covering sourcing, consolidation, transport, security, customs and last-mile distribution, and proceeds on the basis of a signed framework or task-order contract.

We can mobilise rapidly for emergency response and we are equally comfortable with multi-year pipelines. The engagement is led from the Office of the General Manager, with a dedicated operating counterpart for the client throughout the life of the contract.

When the corridor is closed and the trucks still need to move, that is where this work begins.
